SMS Notification Policy

How the Service Works
MediEdge operates an automated missed-call SMS notification system on behalf of participating medical practices. When a patient calls a participating practice and the call goes unanswered, the patient receives one automated SMS message acknowledging the missed call and inviting them to text back or call again.
Messages are sent only in response to inbound missed calls — we do not send bulk, marketing, or promotional messages through this system.
Consent
By calling a participating medical practice, callers consent to receive one automated SMS reply if their call goes unanswered. No prior opt-in form or keyword is required — consent is established by the act of placing the call to a participating practice.
Participating practices display SMS disclosure language in their patient intake materials, website, and/or voicemail recording advising that unanswered calls may receive an automated text reply.
Message Frequency
1 message per missed call. A 24-hour cooldown prevents duplicate messages to the same phone number within a short window. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt-Out
Reply STOP at any time to opt out of future automated SMS messages from that practice's number. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages will be sent.
Reply HELP for assistance. For questions about opting out or this service, contact us at privacy@mediedgemarketing.com.
Data Privacy
Phone numbers collected through this program are used solely to deliver the missed-call SMS notification on behalf of the specific practice that was called. Numbers are not sold, rented, or shared with any third party for marketing purposes. They are retained only as long as necessary for service delivery and legal compliance.
